Weekend Reading – BC Long weekend edition

I’m back from my week long vacation in the Okanagan with boxes and boxes of apricots, cherries, and peaches. We kinda went crazy with the fruit purchase. Next up, baking and eating! 🙂

Before leaving for the trip, I didn’t manage to schedule any articles, hence for a long posting gap. I have to say though, it was great not having a laptop while on vacation and just be cut off from the daily technology routines.

Here are some articles that I came across that I really enjoyed reading.

Mr. Money Mustache said we need to make space for badassity.

Dividend Growth Investor explained how to become a successful dividend investor.

Steve wrote a simple no-BS article on how to master your blog’s SEO.

Mark pointed out the changes in the new Canada Child Benefit.

Bert highlighted 5 methods for earning income online while traveling.

Kobe Bryant wrote a letter to his 17-year-old self on how he should invest not give.

Maggie said that they’re early retirement frauds.

Mr. Firestation wrote about his stock option failure

Eat the Financial Elephant highlighted their ultra-safe early retirement plan.

J. Money shared a spreadsheet on when you can retire (and also how long you have until death).

Not financial related but this is a game-changing technology – University of Illinois have engineered a solar cell that cheaply and efficiently converts carbon dioxide directly into usable hydrocarbon fuel, using only sunlight for energy.

I’m still on vacation next week but will be spending my time at home… we’ll get back to somewhat regular posting next week. I promise!
